The main focus of development is exploitation of local resources in order to transform Pella County into an “Integrated Tourism Destination” with a high environmental value. The strategy of the Local Action Group is based on efforts to activate local dynamics and support local initiatives that are innovative, impressive, viable and efficient.The thematic guidelines defined in our area refer to ‘ organize  kai promotion of the local quality products building a cluster local development organizations to products, services, tourism, culture and natural environment.

The special title of the local LEADER+ Programme of Pella  is ‘Pella Sense of Life, Taste of Civilization ’. The actions of the local L+ Program concern agrotourism, enterprises of rural and other sectors of economy, exploitation of natural and cultural environment and cooperations, all based on quality principals. It is therefore in relation to the global project of the European Territorial Quality Mark.

The expected added value of the transnational cooperation is the opening of Pella  to the Mediterranean and European Community, meaning the promotion of the environment, local products, culture and local advantages. Longer touristic period, more tourists and exchanges of experience and know – how, are values that will also be derived from this cooperation.
