The local quality mark is a mark which qualifies 36 enterprises funded by the LEADER+ Initiative at the Province of Kilkis. The cluster named “Kilkis Quality of Excellence”, established in April September 2003, consists of:

• 3 accommodation enterprises
• 1 enterprise of alternative and special forms of rural tourism
• 1 restaurant
• 5 bakeries
• 2 wineries
• 1 enterprise which produces products from aromatic plants
• 4 enterprises which produces milk, cheese and meat products
• 14 enterprises which produces furniture, tools, marbles, iron, etc.

The cluster implements actions according to a concrete business plan. Its targets and actions were under lied from “Map of Quality Excellence of Kilkis Rural Area” a c o n t e x t o f principles, values and sp e c i f i c q ua l i t y standards which every member of the cluster should follow. The enterprises which will be qualified with the European territorial quality mark have p r o d u c t s o f 26,30,33,43 classes.
